Today we choose for a quiet and relaxing morning. After a delicious breakfast in the hotel we are ready to begin our day!
The morning starts with rain, so we go to Wal-Mart to search an umbrella and some warm clothes. Umbrella we scored, but the clothes… that will be for another time, as the “spring collection” has just arrived. But never mind, the heating in the car to the max and off we go to Mount Carmel, where we drive along the east side of Zion National Park.
We’re stabbing the border into a new state of Arizona, to Utah. It seems we have fallen into an old Western movie. Red orange mountains, open plains that reach to the horizon,…
The only thing missing are the Indians coming down from the hills.
Once we enter the park we rise up to 2600m. Full of admiration we look at each other and at the environment of this breathtaking spectacle. It’s hard to describe this with words, so let you just enjoy these pictures!
Along the way we pass many “post cards”…
We drive to our next hotel that’s located in St. George. Home of the Red Cliffs and the Snow Canyon.
We’re going to have dinner this evening at Sakura, a Japanese Sushi & Steakhouse. We go for the Teppanyaki. Mainly for the fun and entertainment of our chef. Before our eyes, he juggles with his razor-sharp knife like he hasn’t done nothing else his entire life. And the most important thing, the food was absolutely delicious!
What a wonderful day!
